Once I was so little,
I cherished little things in life;
running on a empty road, in the night,
Jumping on dry leaves, only to hear it's crunching noise,
To hear myself echo, I yelled at the top of my voice,
I loved to see the stars and moon, that shined oh so bright!
Once I was so little,
Innocence was my name;
I thought I could count, tiny droplets of rain,
I wondered where the sun would go and hide in the night,
The best day used to be when we saw trains,
repeatedly turning on & off, gave disco effect to the lights.
Once I was so little,
I was Silly as charged;
I used to love summers because of popsicles and ice-creams,
I consoled myself in second person when I had a fall,
Seeing a lizard anywhere, called for a scream.(It still does)
I used to roam around with a pink Barbie doll.
Height of silliness, here's one extra dose,
I danced around my dog, till it bit me on my nose.
Those were the days of happiness, innocence and silliness. Though, we have outgrown those days, let's still retain a part of that little child in us with a hint of happiness, a dash of innocence and loads of silliness...
