Lockdown Diary 3.0- A normalising phase

 Diary 3.0 : A normalising phase

Day 41 (4th May 2020) Monday
6:15 AM
Although I am following my lockdown routine. The 3.0 phase is going to be different. Government has removed many restrictions.(as it is people were not listening 🤷🙄 they might as well go to work.)
( Source- Social news.xyz)
Now what? This question remains. Maybe the government has left it on us to take our own decisions. The police force is brutally tired. They tried beating up people, pleading them, punishing them(squats, yoga etc) morally shaming people.(Clapping and felicitating people who were out for no reason), making them dance. In this process some of the police force got beaten up, killed, spitted on, bullied and threatened by some politicians and infected with coronavirus for doing their job.

Therefore, the government has changed it's parenting technique. Remove certain restrictions and observe the results. That's the only choice they had. The new parenting technique is borrowed from the ancestral rulebook. "Saat chya aat Gharat." (Be home before dawn/ be home before 7:00 pm) That's the new rule.

Day 42 (5th may 2020) Tuesday

Divided by religion, united by divine wine. Divided by languages united by Liquor. Come one come all let's buy alcohol. This was the state of every state in our country yesterday. Let's get this straight sale of alcohol is the like the quick money winning horse. Booze is a metaphorical goldmine for the government. They knew that if they open this haven the parched devotees will definately buy the 'firewater'. The hounds came indeed smelling for Hooch. They didn't come alone they came in packs to pack a stockpile. Dancing, singing and beating drums they came with high spirits to buy the spirit. The rule was 5 persons at a time but they came in multiples of 50. They forgot social distancing, behaved like 'what corona, who corona?, Was there ever a corona'. Pish posh corona. Such was the charge of loyalty that they didn't fear the police lathi charge.
(source- laughing colours)

Finally, the state machinery decided to close the shops to get rid of people glued in line.
Looking at their dejected faces I wished to ask them. Is this all you care about? Is alcohol worth you and your family's life?
You had a month of practice to get rid of this nagging habit. You clearly don't need alcohol to make bad decisions. Your mind has become warehouse of rotten juice. You are not thick headed. You are liquor headed. (Start extracting the insane juice from your head and drink it again.)

(P.s.  This post is directed towards the addicts mainly.)

Day 44 (May 7th 2020) Thursday
I took an odd day break from writting yesterday. I'll make it even by writing today. This morning I feel like crawling back to the comfort of bed. Nothing cheers me but the thought of sleep. So instead I'll walk in the garden and inspect the trees/plant. (Everything we grow)

On corna front. There has been a lot of fake news circulating in my city regarding number of corona patients. According to the arogya setu app. The count around ,10 km radius is 5. But some say there are more. Lately nothing is mentioned about my city in the news as well. So it's difficult to get the information on exact numbers. There was one more news of a second conora death spread locally. But there is no confirmation on it as well.

Day 47 (10th May 2020) Sunday

Mother's day.
Mother's are the only one's that are holding us together in these lockdown days. There is still sanity in the house thanks to her. If you had to do half her task in these days. You would have definitely lost it. If you haven't understood the importance of her skills in these 47 days of lockdown. Forget it. You will never understand it.
For those who understand. I humbly request. "Zero criticism and full co-operation." Because if she stops working then the upheaval that you invite in your life is totally on you. She is the source of unconditional love. She will do everything for her kid. The word 'mother' is not just a symbol of love. It's the epitome of will and strength. Don't take it for granted. Because she miht be brutally tired yet she is doing her duties round the clock. Instead lend a helping hand. If you can't help. Then forever hold the peace.
Every word falls short in thanking you. Still, gratitude dear mother.

Day 48 (11th May 2020) Monday
10:00 PM
Day of desserts
As my birthday is approaching. In the birthday month there also a star birthday.( Based on star sign. Does not fall on same date every year.) It's today. I enjoyed this birthday by sleeping in late and also relished on the mom made dessert.
(pure ghee sheera/ halwa)

When dad came back from the office he bought treat as well.
(This shall be devovered tomorrow)

Day 49 (May 12th 2020) Tuesday
I named lockdown 3 as normalising phase and clearly government is taking heed to the tilte. What could be more normalising than starting trains with proper booking and fares.
In this lockdown phase 3 the government has tried to mobilise the workers stranded here and there by running more than 300 shramik service trains. (Free of cost, including food and water) The central railway was bearing 85% of the total cost and 15% cost was left on the state government.
Some states (2 states) were not ready to bear the 15% cost.
Anyways it's a new dawn. The Corona curve has not flattened yet. So government is taking maximum precautions. I hope people are not booking tickets just for fun.

11:00 AM- number 91
The local grocery store has stopped home delivery of goods hence we are forced to come outside to buy basic necessities. The store opens at 11:00 AM they distribute numerical coupons and leave only 10 people at a time time the shopping centre. We came before time yet 90 coupons were distributed. Therefore, I am sitting outside waiting for my turn. Wating for 10 people to come out.

Day 54 (may 17 2020) Sunday
From Tomorrow 4th phase of lockdown in going to begin in the country. I thought I will directly jump to a new blog since there has been many gaps in this one. Cheated a lot on my schedule in lockdown 3. Since my birthday was in this phase and my body deserved some party. 😜 ( Sleep, food, rest) it's 3:47 PM watching news. Disturbing reports have been seen in the last few days regarding the migrant workers. Among the news there was also a ray of hope. Visible in the noble deeds across the globe by the Sikh community.

Rightly called the food bank of the world. Sikh community accross globe are feeding millions. No criticism, no politics. They see someone hungry they feed them. They help the migrants reach their homes. They don't rant in the media about the Service they are providing. Because with or without corona. They are always ready to serve. Humanity thy name is SIKH.

Elections best scam: Invented by the people, for the people

This election season lets us understand what entails in this process. It's an impasse between a rock and a hard place. We expect sanity from insane people, loyalty from treacherous people, w e appoint stupid people to make intelligent decisions for us.🤷They in turn appoint criminals to fight and win elections for them.🤦 Politics is the only place where the criminal background on your CV gets you hired. It's a Black collar job done in the guise of white-collar. It's an unfortunate trap and we helplessly keep falling into the same vicious cycle after every five years. They say everything is fair in love and war. But in this war, many unfair, ugly, and condemnable decisions are taken in the name of the citizens, who are just a pawn in their bigger games. Mark Twain once said, "If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it." This sentence makes so much sense to me now. The world spends so much money on the scam called the elections. Black, white,

Lockdown Diary 4 : A confusing phase

Diary 4: A confusing phase. Day 55 (18th May 2020) Monday. One might wonder why am I calling it a confused phase. Just have a look at the blueprint of lockdown 4 first. It's been extended till 31st May 2020. It is confused phase because they have opened market places. While people still struggle to understand the meaning of social distancing. 🤷🙄 Any sane person will still avoid visiting crowded places when corona scare still lurks and people who will go out are already going out since day one. (The most untamed animals of the animal kingdom.😤) This feels like opening the liquor shops situation all over again. Let's wait for these changes to show colors. Lockdown 4 is going to be an interesting diary I suspect.  Stay tuned. 10:40 Finally this lockdown has some music in store. The speaker system that was in the upstairs has been bought down to the living room and I began with listening to a legend Kishore Kumar.  (Pic source- Jio saavan)  (
